“Children’s Literature to Motivate and Engage Your Students”
Pauline Herr, librarian at LaGrange Middle School, Lorelei Hauptmann, librarian at LaGrange Elementary, and Therese Coyne, librarian at Vassar Road School, will present worthwhilechildren’s and young adult’s literature to motivate students and enhance literacy instruction. Pauline, Lorelei, and Therese will presenta variety of literature genres. Selecting effective and engaging books is a mandate for good instruction. As teachers, it’s important to develop our own knowledge about children’s literature in order to effectively share good books with students.
Learn about wonderful books for read alouds, guided reading, and independent reading while you network with other educators to discuss the use of the literature presented.
Please feel free to bring a colleague or administrator to share in this delightful presentation.Come early at 3:45 for refreshments, the opportunity to browse through the books, and network with area educators.

Brookhaven children need easy board books, reference books, and Spanish-English books.
Members are welcome to attend at no charge. There is a $10.00 fee for guests.
