“Reciprocal Teaching”: The Four Key Strategies

Participants will learn how to use Reciprocal Teaching, a reading strategy that has very strong research support.  Originally developed for middle school students with reading disabilities, the strategy has proven to be so effective it has been widely adopted for elementary and senior high students, both in general and special education settings.

Dr. Miller is a beloved educator who has influenced and taught many special education teachers who sing her praises widely.  She is currently working at the RSSC while she is on a sabbatical from Mount Saint Mary College.  In her work with the RSSC, Dr. Miller has an opportunity to  bring her strong understanding of relevant research to special education classrooms in nine counties in New York State.

Come early at 3:45 to network with other area educators.
Refreshments will be served.

Members are welcome to attend at no charge.
There is a $10.00 fee for non-members.
