“New and Wonderful Books for All Students”

Pauline Herr, librarian at LaGrange Middle School, Lorelei Hauptmann, librarian at LaGrange Elementary, and Mindy Grey, librarian at Trevor Road School, will present worthwhile children’s and young adults’ literature to motivate students and enhance literacy instruction in many areas.  Pauline, Lorelei, and Mindy will present book that can be used to support instruction across the language arts and content area curricula.  We will learn about selecting new and worthwhile books that will engage readers.  Develop your own knowledge about children’s literature in order to effectively share good books with your students.

The presenters will show and discuss wonderful books for read alouds, guided reading, and independent reading while you are able to network with other educators and discuss the uses of the recommended literature.

Please feel free to bring a colleague or administrator to share in this delightful presentation.
Come early at 3:45 for refreshments, the opportunity to browse through the books, and network with area educators.
PLEASE BRING A BOOK TO DONATE TO BROOKHAVEN

Members are welcome to attend at no charge. There is a $10.00 fee for guests.
